Bio

Dr. Madden received a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. She completed a Master of Science degree in pathology at The Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Dr. Madden studied medicine at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin and received her medical degree in 1995.

She interned in pediatrics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee before completing her residency at Kosair Children’s Hospital at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky.

Dr. Madden was a fellow in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. She completed a second fellowship in Pediatric Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

After her fellowship, Dr Madden was an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at M.D. Anderson. While at MD Anderson she worked with both Dr. Ka Wah Chan (now the Medical Director of the Pediatric Blood and Marrow Stem Cell Transplant Program with the Texas Transplant Physician Group) and with Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Lisa McDonald (also with the Texas Transplant Physician Group).

Dr. Madden also served as assistant member in the Department of Stem Cell Transplant at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.  Subsequently she joined the Division of Stem Cell Transplantation at the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Phoenix Children’s Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. 

Prior to joining the Pediatric Blood and Marrow Stem Cell Transplant Program at Texas Transplant Physician Group, Dr. Madden worked as a pediatric hematologist/oncologist at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Dr. Madden is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation, American Society of Hematology, American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and the Children’s Oncology Group.

Dr. Madden is board certified in Pediatrics.
