As one of the busiest pediatric transplant programs in the United States, it performs 40 to 50 transplants per year.
The Pediatric Blood and Marrow Stem Cell Transplant team performs related and unrelated donor transplants with expertise in using unrelated donor umbilical cord blood transplants for patients who lack a related donor. More than 200 unrelated cord blood transplants have been performed since 2002.
The Pediatric Blood and Marrow Stem Cell Transplant program is the first in North America accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cell Therapy (FACT) and has remained accredited ever since.
